Privacy policy
Cado collects no personal data, has no user accounts, and has no internet connection. Nothing you do in Cado leaves your phone unless you choose to share it yourself.
What Cado does not do
Cado does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. It contains no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. Cado has no servers, and the app contains no networking code. There is no sign-up, no account, and no login.
Information Cado uses on your device
To measure your pedalling cadence, Cado reads your phone's motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) while a ride is running. These readings are processed on your phone, in real time, and are used only to estimate cadence.
Cado also records, on your device: your ride's cadence measurements and summary, your app settings, and your phone's battery level during a ride (used to show how much charge a ride costs).
Cado does not use location or GPS. It requests no location permission of any kind. It does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, calendar, or files outside the folder you choose yourself.
Where your ride data goes
Ride data is stored on your phone. You control it entirely.
If you turn on automatic saving, Cado writes your ride files to a folder you select using Android's own file picker. If that folder is a cloud folder such as Google Drive, the upload is performed by that app under your own account — Cado never sees or holds your account credentials.
If you share a ride using the share button, the file goes wherever you send it. That is your choice each time.
Cado never uploads anything on its own.
Bluetooth
If you enable the optional Bluetooth cadence broadcast, Cado advertises your current cadence as a standard Bluetooth cycling sensor so that nearby devices you choose to pair — a bike computer, or a fitness app on another device — can record it. Only cadence is broadcast. No personal information is included. This feature is off by default, and Cado does not use Bluetooth to identify or track you or anyone else.
Feedback and bug reports
If you send feedback from within Cado, the app opens your own email app with a message prepared for you. The message includes technical details — app version, Android version, phone model, and your current Cado settings — so that problems can be diagnosed. Nothing is sent until you press send in your own email app, and you can read and edit every line first. Cado sends nothing itself.
Children
Anyone can ride with Cado. It is a general-audience app, not one aimed at children — and it collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
